Your little one can change so quickly and so drastically during their earlier years, and these changes include their dental development too.
This is why it’s essential to make sure children are seeing a dentist regularly for check-ups so they can keep a close eye on your infant’s dental development.
Bringing them along to your own appointments, even before their first teeth arrive can help them get used to the dentist. Once their first teeth arrive, be sure to book your child in for their own check-up.
Young children should see the dentist every six months just like adults. Your dentist might recommend more regular visits if they feel there is a medical need.
Children can be seen for free under the NHS primary care services, and any child under the age of 18 is eligible for NHS dental treatment (or up until the age of 19 if they’re still in full-time education).
We provide essential dental work under the standard NHS charge bands;
Band 1 - £25.80
This covers a dental exam, x-rays, diagnosis, advice, scale and polish if there's a clinical need, and preventative care such as the application of fluoride varnish.
Band 2 - £70.70
This covers everything listed in Band 1, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth, but does not include more complex procedures included in Band 3.
Band 3 - £306.80
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2, in addition to crowns, dentures, bridges and laboratory-related work.
Emergency - £25.80

Clear aligners are the perfect solution to crooked teeth, gently moving your teeth into their ideal position to help with your smile, confidence and bite. Using transparent plastic trays that are removable when you want to eat or brush your teeth, clear aligners are specifically designed to fit your mouth perfectly and discreetly.
Composite bonding achieves impactful results quickly, repairing chips, cracks, or discolouration in a single appointment with no pain or recovery time. The shape of this composite material can be sculpted to correct the gaps between teeth. Composite bonding is the perfect finishing touch to whitening or aligners treatments.
If you have cracks, sensitivity or discolouration, your Smart Dental Care specialist can replace the visible portion of the tooth with a protective coating made of ceramic or porcelain. This coating is known as a crown; it looks and feels like a normal tooth, blends in seamlessly and delivers a healthy-looking smile. It can also reduce the appearance of small gaps if your misalignment is minimal.
A life-changing, long-term solution to tooth loss, dental implants are the gold standard of restorative dentistry. A titanium replacement root is fixed into the jaw and fitted with a tooth replacement that looks and performs just like a natural one. This preserves your facial structure after tooth loss, improving your bite as well as your confidence.
Also known as a hygienist appointment, one of our specialists at Smart Dental Care will professionally clean your teeth to remove the build-up of plaque and bacteria on the teeth and around the gum line for that dentist-clean feeling. Your clinician can also identify any underlying issues, prescribe other treatments if necessary and provide you with ongoing peace of mind.
If you’re exploring whitening options because you have a problem with the shade of your teeth or want a brighter smile than you already have, Boutique Whitening is a professional, dentist-approved whitening system which will help you achieve a visibly brighter shade in less than a week. Boutique gels are safe to use and kind to your enamel thanks to a stabilised pH, with a variety of different strength solutions to cater to sensitive teeth. These gels also come in day or overnight wear options, so you can whiten at a time that suits you.
If you have cracks, discolouration or just want a more photo-ready smile, a veneer is a protective, hard-wearing layer made of ceramic or porcelain which covers the front of your tooth to blend in seamlessly. This layer offers maximum longevity and stain resistance and can be created to lessen the appearance of smaller gaps if you have some minor misalignment.
I am an extremely nervous patient even a check up, I cannot praise Victoria enough , she was so aware of my nerves and put me at ease for the first time ever to the point I actually had a filling today and scale and polish, I totally praise her and her professionalism combined with care. Her assistant was lovely too as was the welcoming receptionist, for once my fear was combated, thankyou Victoris a credit to your profession
Incredible staff, so friendly and made feel at ease from start to finish. Finn the dentist understood how nervous I was and also made me feel relaxed. He explained what needed doing and my tooth extraction was very quick. The aftercare is brilliant. I cannot thank Debbie enough for helping me when I was in so much pain and reassured me at a time of need x
After having problems with pain after a tooth extraction, the lovely ladies on reception have been extremely helpful. Finn, the dentist, has bent over backwards to try and help me going above and beyond, whilst being kind and caring. Brilliant team!!
